Trysh graduated from UNT & worked in Marketing. Now a full time mom and volunteer, she has served on PTO/PTA boards in many capacities for eight years. Her passion is Special Needs awareness, inclusiveness and celebration of differences.

She became involved at MYT when, after her daughter Sophie’s first show, Sophie said, “When I’m at theatre, I feel like I am home.” Trysh truly loves MYT, and the difference it makes in the lives of so many children and families. She loves that her whole family can be a part of theatre productions through volunteering. The MYT family is a HUGE part of heart heart and she is honored to serve.

Elizabeth is a family heirloom filmmaker, and the owner of Copper Penny Films. She is mother to three awesome kiddos; Ruby, Johnny, and Mae.

She feels MYT is a second family to her children. She know there are many more children in McKinney who could benefit from our theatre, and she has made it her mission to find them.

Jeff Bessa

Jeff and his family greatly value their association with PCT/MYT since 2012. A former submarine officer, Jeff has been in a variety of leadership roles in the semiconductor industry for the past 17 years. He is currently the General Manager of the Interface Business Unit at Texas Instruments. Jeff holds a B.S. Electrical Engineering degree from UCLA.
Mary Kay Badar
Mary Kay Badar
Mary Kay is a Sr. Leadership Development Consultant with T-Mobile and supports the business with executive business coaching, talent management activities and organizational development/design. She has previously owned a consulting business and worked for General Electric, General Motors and Prudential.

She believes youth involvement in the arts strengthens not only their confidence and leadership skills, but also has a positive impact on math and reading scores, absenteeism and graduation rates. Additionally, she feels the youth are better prepared to productively enter the workforce as teen workers.

Mary Kay also volunteers in a variety of other community areas and believes that one person can make a difference by giving of their time and talents.

Nicki is a fellow thespian, U.S. Air Force veteran, former engineer, and artist at heart. She is the owner and photographer of Nicki Behm Photography, specializing in family photography. Nicki is mom to three uniquely creative kids who absolutely adore being on stage and being a part of MYT.

She volunteered to be a part of the MYT Board because she knows first hand how theatre positively influenced her life and she sees it doing even more incredible things for her kids. She wants to help MYT grow so as many families as possible can experience the magic of our theatre family.

Amanda has been in the Furniture Industry for almost 20 years as a Sales Rep.

She volunteers for MYT because her daughter Audrey loves performing. Their family fell in love during our first play with meeting new friends and the level of professionalism.

Tracey is a stay at home mom. She worked in corporate America for over 10 years as executive assistant to CEO/CFOs.

She believes the theatre helps children grow creatively, academically, and socially. She looks forward to serving and growing MYT in 2015-2016 and continuing to meet new friends.

Peggy Lipsey
Peggy Lipsey
Peggy is a McKinney native, and currently works for a sporting goods company as an Office Manager. Her daughter Mandy’s love for theater brought her to MYT, and she has been volunteering since day one.

She loves to work with the great group of students at MYT, and is excited about her new role as Programming Chair.

Don Melton
Don Melton
Don is the Chairman for the Scholarship Committee for MYT and has volunteered most of his time to running lights and sound for various MYT shows over the past couple years. He is a Senior Tech Administrator with AT&T for over 10 years. Don and his family got involved with MYT several years ago through their daughter’s involvement in theatre and are very excited for the future growth of Children’s Theatre in McKinney through MYT.
Cherlyn Morrison

Cherlyn is currently a Special Education Teacher with an educational background in Counseling and Guidance. Before becoming a teacher, she worked at the Allen Senior Center and was responsible for Programming Events, Classes, and coordinating volunteers.

Cherlyn’s children, Kaylie and Austin, have been actively involved with North Texas Performing Arts for over three years. The impact the performing arts have had on their lives inspired Cherlyn and her husband, Andy, to volunteer their time to support the organization.

She is excited to be part of the McKinney Youth Theatre Board and looks forward to the positive impact MYT will have on the families in McKinney and the surrounding communities.

Roz Payne
Roz Payne
Roz brings 19 years of Marketing, Advertising and Leadership experience working as a Media Director in Advertising Agencies all over Dallas, representing clients such as British Airways, TGI Fridays, Dairy Queen Texas, Owens Country Sausage and Dr. Pepper/7UP. She is currently working as a top sales representative for Plexus Worldwide and leading a team of over 6,500.

Her passion for theatre began in 2010 during her daughter’s first production at MYT; her son joined the NTPA family in 2014. Watching this theatre grow has been a true joy of hers. She has volunteered in near every role in the theatre from Show Parent to Backstage Coordinator to Concessions Parent to Volunteer Coordinator. Rozalyn has been a huge advocate for the growth of MYT, has found true joy in watching it flourish, and is proud to serve on the MYT Advisory Board.

Stacy Polk

Stacy currently works in property management as a Portfolio Manager for Neighborhood Management Inc, and has been with the company since October of 2014. Prior to that she worked for Marriott International as a Director of Sales for 14 years.

Stacy is passionate about serving and thrilled to join the MYT Board. She is excited to help as the Board works to find MYT a permanent home. Her goal is to keep MYT a place where all kids can be celebrated and applauded for their talents and unique abilities.

Paige Schlegel

Paige Schlegel has a Bachelors degree in Marketing and a Masters in Business Administration. She became involved with PCT in 2012 when her daughter took to the stage, and now all three of her children are active participants. Paige’s passion is for the arts, and she designs many of the sets for our PCT shows.
Ron Stevens
Ron Stevens
Ron Stevens is a graduate from the Sports Administration program from Ohio University and is currently a Project Construction Manager for Panasonic Large Screen LED A/V Systems. Prior to Panasonic, Ron worked in the NFL, XFL and was an Assistant Athletic Director at SMU overseeing construction and athletic venue operations and management.

Ron and his family live in McKinney and his wife is an elementary school teacher in the district and his daughter Paige and son Bryce have participated in numerous shows.
