Erika Bazan
Erika Bazan
Erika Bazan became excited about being a larger part of FYT after watching her daughter in her first production in the summer of 2015. That desire was cemented when she had the opportunity to see firsthand the mission and values of FYT at work when she was a part of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever cast. Erika has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Angelo State University. She spent time as a board member and performer in theatre and on camera in Los Angeles. Since returning to Texas in 2005 she has focused on another passion which is the wellness, she is currently part of the management team at Cooper Spa at the Cooper Aerobics Center in Dallas.

Meanwhile, she has dabbled in the arts including roles at the Water Tower Theatre. She is an active member of her church where she and her husband lead a bible based children’s theater ministry. She especially looks forward to watching her daughter grow as a performer.

Dawn Gray
Dawn Gray
Dawn Gray was inspired to become a part of the Managing Board for Frisco Youth Theatre after her daughter, Alexandra, was in two productions. Her daughter had a wonderful experience being in the productions, and Dawn had a wonderful experience volunteering in the productions. They were both hooked! She also volunteers at her daughter’s school and with an organization called Formula One Life, which collects and distributes formula to infant orphans.

Before becoming “Mommy” full time, Dawn worked for Dillard’s for 15 years as a sales manager, as a buyer, and then as regional visual director. She and her husband are enjoying training their very rambunctious rescue dogs, and driving Alexandra around to all of her theatre and dance activities.

Maria Karins
Maria Karins
Maria’s two girls fell in love with FYT in their first performances in the fall of 2017. With both of them having such positive experiences, Maria quickly knew she wanted to help this organization continue to thrive for the youth of Frisco. While she holds a Masters in Education, Maria did dabble a bit in acting herself. When she was 7 months old, she played Baby Jesus in the Christmas program at her church and continued performing throughout her childhood in many ways. She was involved in choir, orchestra, band and theatre, so the fine arts have always been important to her. Maria is honored to be a part of Frisco Youth Theatre to allow future artists in the area the ability to develop their passion in a nurturing environment for years to come.
