Would you like to be a part of an NTPA production?  For many of our shows, your journey to “take the stage” starts by signing up for an NTPA Audition. These auditions are intended to align a student’s desires, experience and talents with the Director’s vision for each of these roles in a show. Our auditions are hosted by at least two theatre professionals who will provide a positive and constructive learning experience in a friendly and supportive environment.

If you are thinking about signing up your first audition but aren’t sure what to expect, you might consider attending a FREE UpSTARt Workshop which is a fast-paced, high-energy, and fun-filled two-hour workshop designed to our future actors the confidence and training to “take the stage” in their first audition.

To discourage “no show” audition reservations, effective for auditions taking place after March 1, 2019, NTPA will charge a “No Show Fee” of $15.00 for 6-12th grade productions to those students that commit and then skip their audition time slots.  A reminder will be sent via email at least two weeks prior to the audition, and the student can change or cancel their audition time slot up to 24 hours prior to the audition without incurring a fee.

Synopsis

Be More Chill, the new musical, viral cult phenomenon is on track to hit Broadway after a successful Off-Broadway run that finishes in September 2018, but first it’s coming to North Texas Performing Arts!

Jeremy Heere is just an average teenager. That is, until he finds out about “The Squip” – a tiny supercomputer that promises to bring him everything he desires most: a date with Christine, an invite to the raddest party of the year and a chance to survive life in his suburban New Jersey high school. But is being the most popular guy in school worth the risk?
